General Assistant Manager

General Assistant Manager – Steel Division

Degree / Experience: Appropriate Degree, and minimum of 3 years’ experience in Sales & Marketing – Steel Industry Experience is preferable but not compulsory

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct all required business tasks, such as having meetings with customers
  • Business travel to get familiar with customer’s operation
  • Receiving enquiries from customers
  • Receiving offers from the International Head Office and negotiate pricing with client, and concluding contracts and implementation thereof
  • To maintain and deepen current networks and explore new contacts to expand the business
  • To conduct market research by visiting new markets
  • Implementing new strategies to expand the business
  • Prepare presentation materials for customers
  • Periodical reports to management
  • Manage relationship with existing and new customers
  • Work closely with Iron & Steel Products Business Unit to develop and drive the execution of relevant business strategy
  • Travel arrangements for customers/visitors such as transportation, accommodation, etc.
  • Understand and comply with Company’s internal rules Location

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree.

Having started a career in Payroll would be advantageous.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

Have an in-depth and technical understanding of the following i.e. must be able to do manual computations without the help of a payroll system:

  • Tax computations;
  • Cost to Company Structures/Build up Computations; and
  • Compensation and Benefits elements within payrolls.

Thorough understanding of Employment Tax; Taxable income. SDL, UIF etc.

PAYE Reviews and in depth understanding of payroll.
